Our Story
Our story began with a desire to beautify our community and bring nature into our urban landscapes. We were inspired by the mural at The Boro, which turned what could’ve been a plain brick wall into a vibrant centerpiece full of life. Seeing how it became a symbol of our community made us realize the potential for art to reimagine cityscapes. Through murals, we hope to add some color, creativity, and a little bit of nature to the spaces we all share, free of charge!
Who Are We?
We’re two students from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology who’ve been passionate about art for as long as we can remember. Best friends since middle school, our love for creating has only grown stronger over the years. From being classically trained to winning national awards and getting published, we’re excited to share our art and connect with others through it!

Brendan Li
Founder
I’ve been taking art lessons since I was five, so much my early work was purely instructional. I wanted to share my art with a wider audience and use it for something meaningful rather than just for myself. That’s why I started Pulch Murals: to build community through art.

Bella Lee-Truesdell

Hi! I’ve been painting all my life, and I was inspired to help paint murals because of all the murals that were scattered around my elementary school. I want children to get excited about art the way I did when I saw my school’s murals.

I have loved arts and crafts ever since I can remember. Whether I was painting for a class, drawing a friend's birthday card, or doodling just for fun, creating new art always adds more color and happiness around me. I cannot wait to share my passion for creativity with you too!

Sophia Wang
Managing Artist
I’ve been sketching, drawing, and exploring different art forms since I was little. Through painting murals, I hope to use my love for art and creativity to brighten up community spaces and spread joy.
